Galatasaray v Atletico Madrid – Confirmed starting line-up's – Man City defender to make debut

Galatasaray take on Atletico Madrid tonight in their opening game in the UEFA Champions League.

Manchester City’s Jason Denayer is set to make his Galatasaray debut tonight at centre back. Hakan Balta has been moved into defensive midfield as manager Hamza Hamzaoglu switches to a 4-3-3 formation.

The Lions were drawn along with Atleti, Benfica and Astana in Group C. Galatasaray are coming off the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Mersin Idmanyurdu over the weekend.

Hamzaoglu’s side have gotten off to a slow start to the season and lost both Felipe Melo and Alex Telles on the final day of the transfer window.

Atletico were on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline when they hosted Barcelona. Diego Simeone’s side have won two of their three La Liga games.

Galatasaray were eliminated in the group stages of the Champions League last season.
