Gaizantepspor manager Okan Buruk praised his players following their 3-1 win against Eskişehirspor.

“It was a really important win,” Buruk said.

“We will be going into the winter break on 21 points and did so playing against one of the toughest sides in the league.

“Eskişehirspor may not be at the top of the table but nobody should have any doubts that they are a top quality side.

“We battled hard and converted our chances, we very really effective on the counter attack and everything went to plan as we had prepared before the game.

“In the first half we struggled to deal with Eskişehirspor’s aerial balls but we soon got our head around how to deal with the aerial bombardment.

“It is never easy winning here so I want to congratulate the players for what they achieved.”

The Falcons have now one back to back games on the road. The win took Gaziantepspor into 10th place on 21 points.
