Gençlerbirliği sack İrfan Buz following forth defeat in a row
Gençlerbirliği have fired İrfan Buz from his role as manager following a poor run of results in the Turkish Super League.
The Ankara based side has lost four games in a row and are without a win in six games. Gençlerbirliği sit in 12th place with 22 points in 20 games.
The 2-1 defeat at home against an out-of-form Eskişehirspor was the final straw costing the 47-year-old his job.
Gençlerbirliği President Ilhan Cavcav confirmed the news to Eurosport TR this morning.
The Ankara based side take on bottom of the table Balıkesirspor this weekend in the league. Balıkesirspor sit in 18th spot with jus 13 points in 20 games.
Irfan Buz has previously managed Bursaspor, Iserlohon and Olpe.
