Can has started in the Reds last 11 games in all competitions.

The 21-year-old has been praised for his versatility this  season. Can has played the last 12 games in defence despite being signed as a central midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.

Can put in another impressive performance on the weekend against rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby.

The Liverpool youngster was the Whoscored Man of the Match and received a rating of 8.30.

The 21-year-old made five successful tackles, three interceptions and one clearance.
