Germany national team manager Joachim Low could join Fenerbahce says former president

Germany national team manager Joachim Low could join Fenerbahçe in the summer according to former club president Ali Şen.

“Joachim Low has worked with Aziz Yıldırım before, he has worked with Ismail Kartal, he has worked at Fenebahçe and knows the club well,” Şen told Radoyspor.

“Low could join Fenerbahçe in the summer, this could happen and I think it would be fantastic, it would also allow Ismail Kartal to stay on.”

Joachim Löw previously managed at Adanaspor briefly in 2001 and at Fenerbahce in 1998.

Kartal and Löw have worked together in the past and remain close friends.

The Fenerbahçe head coach admitted he regularly consults Löw for technical and training advice.

“Löw is my close friend and I regularly consult him,” Kartal told Radyospor.

Ismail Kartal was appointed as manager of Fenerbahce at the start of the season following Ersun Yanal’s departure from the club.

Fenerbahçe are the reigning champions but are currently three points behind league leaders Galatasaray with two games left to play.

The Yellow Canaries need Galatasaray to lose against Beşiktaş on the weekend while beating fourth placed Başakşehir.
