Germany v England: Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil & Liverpool’s Emre Can in squad

Germany v England: Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil and Liverpool star Emre Can have both been included in the Germany national team squad.

The duo featured for Germany during Euro 2016 but were both omitted from Joachim Low’s previous squad. Emre Can makes a return to the national setup following a long spell out the team.

Germany host England for an international friendly later this month.

“Games against England are absolute classics, and in front of brilliant fans in Dortmund,” Low was quoted as saying by the BBC.

Galatasaray forward and former Arsenal star Lukas Podolski has been called up for his final Germany cap. Podolski has racked up an impressive 129 caps. The31-year-old and announced his retirement from international football after last year’s European Championships.
