Mesut Ozil will start tonight for Germany tonight in their international friendly game with the USA. The encounter takes place in Cologne and kick-off is at 19:45 (GMT).
Gundogan recently regained his place in the Germany squad following a lengthy injury lay-off. The 24-year-old has two goals in nine international caps.
Mesut Ozil will make his 65th appearance for Germany tonight. The Arsenal play-maker has 18 goals for his national team making him the third highest scorer in the squad – behind Lukas Podolski & Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Germany defeated the USA in last summers World Cup in Brazil by a 1-0 scoreline in a final group encounter, although both teams still qualified for the knockout stages.
USA will be hoping to pull off another surprise win following their 4-3 victory over the Netherlands last Friday.
