Ghana international Daniel Opare has thanked Beşiktaş fans for their support and helping him settle in.

“The fans give us fire, they really motivate us and with them behind us we can beat anyone,” Opare told Beşiktaş Magazine.

“We are going to need them more than ever now that we are at the most important stage of the season.”

The Ghana international is currently on loan at the Black Eagles after joining on a temporary deal but Beşiktaş have an option to sign Opare at the end of the season.

Opare recently picked up a hamstring injury and missed the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe last weekend.

The 24-year-old has since recovered and is expected to feature in the mini Istanbul derby against Başakşehir.

Opare has become a fan favourite despite only joining in January. The young full-back was a star performer in Besiktaş’s victory over Liverpool in Europa League Round of 32.

The Ghana international has 17 international caps for the Black Stars.
