Gokhan Zan to remain at Galatasaray following injury crisis

Galatasaray have recalled their exiled centre back Gokhan Zan following an injury crisis in defence.
Galatasaray defenders Semih Kaya and Koray Günter have suffered injuries during the Royal International Cup tournament which was played last week in Antalya.
Galatasaray’s young centre back Semih Kaya has been ruled out for up to a month due to a knee injury while Günter is expected to be sidelined for at least two weeks. The news comes as a blow to Galatasaray who will also be without Aurélien Chedjou who is representing Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Hakan Balta is currently the only available senior central defender in the squad.
Gokhan Zan was left out of the squad at the start of the season and has been closely linked with a move to Sivasspor in recent weeks.
According to Eurosport TR, Zan will be recalled to the squad ahead of the Lions Turkish Cup fixture against Diyarbakir BB on Thursaday.
Zan made 15 appearances for Galatasaray last season.
