Galatasaray’s out of favour forward Goran Pandev is close to sealing his move to Palermo according to a report in the Turkish newspaper AMK.

However, the transfer is on hold as Galatasaray owe Goran Pandev approximately €1 million in unpaid wages.

Galatasaray are working with both Pandev and Palermo to reach a settlement and complete the deal.

Pandev will be staying at Galatasaray until the end of the season according to football agent Carlo Pallavicino.

Goran is happy at Galatasaray and is not considering leaving,” Pallavicino told Fanatik.

“He did struggle settling in at the beginning but that is normal when you join a new club.

“Goran is not considering leaving in January, he is starting to settle in and find his feet, there is no way he is leaving yet, he will stay until the end of the season.”

The former Champions League winner has been linked moves to Italy and England.

Pandev struggled for playing time under former manager Cesare Prandelli however, Hamza Hamzaoğlu has been keen to keep the Macedonian international at the club.

The 31-year-old joined Galatasaray from Napoli this summer on a one-year deal worth €2.4 million.

Pandev has scored four goals in eight appearances for Galatasaray this season.
