Group D Expected Lineups: Wilshere Out For Arsenal, Bruma In For Galatasaray [divider]

Champions League Group D leaders Borussia Dortmund take on second placed Arsenal while Galatasaray travel to Belgium to face third-placed Anderlecht.

Anderlecht had some good news and bad news going into the Galatasaray game. Suarez and Nuytinck are out while N’Sakala is a doubt. However, captain Steven Defour will play against the Lions.

Galatasaray will be without Hakan Balta and Blerim Dzemaili, neither are key players and have not had the best of seasons.

Cesare Prandelli is under extreme pressure to get a result against Anderlecht, it feels as if the vultures are hovering over the former Italian national team boss waiting for him to slip up.

Prandelli still has not decided what his strongest lineup is, or what formation he will use against Anderlecht however, it seems 20-year-old Portuguese international Bruma could make a rare start ahead of Olcan Adın.

Arsene Wenger welcomed back Olivier Giroud last week and the Frenchman scored despite Arsenal losing 2-1 against Manchester United. However, Giroud will be unavailable against Dortmund due to not being registered on Arsenal’s Champions League squad.

David Ospina, Laurent Koscielny, Abou Diaby, Mathieu Debuchy, Jack Wilshere and Mesut Özil are all out injured.

Wenger is expected to give Santi Cazorla the nod ahead of Wilshere.

Dortmund’s injury woes continue following injury to Marco Reus who has been ruled out for the rest of the year.

Jurgen Klopp could also be without Sven Bender, Mats Hummels, Jakub Blaszczykowski, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Nuri Şahin for Wednesday’s game against Arsenal.
