Guardiola handed boost as Aguero returns for Champions League clash, star midfielder makes squad

Manchester City take on Napoli in the Champions League at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday for Match Day 3.

City boss Pep Guardiola could welcome back Sergio Aguero, who broke a rid in a road accident three weeks ago.

Aguero has been included in the provisional squad as has star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

The midfielder of Turkish origin made his first Champions League appearance of 2017 on Match Day 2.

Gundogan played nine minutes in the 2-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 26-year-old has started one game since returning from a knee injury which ruled him out of action since last December.

Captain Vincent Kompany has not made the squad due to his calf injury and left-back Benjamin Mendy is a long-term absentee.

City are currently first in Group F on six points after two games. Napoli meanwhile are third on three points after two games.
