Beşiktaş defender Ersan Gülüm has blamed his sides poor disciplinary record on his the physical style manager Slaven Bilic has them play.
The Black Eagles have picked up more red cards than any other Süper Lig side this season – 10.
“We do have a poor disciplinary record, we cannot deny that, I mean I myself have nine yellow cards,” Gülüm told Fanatik.
“We play a physical game, that is why we get so many suspensions but we still need to do better it is not an excuse.”
Necip Uysal became the 10th player to be sent off for Beşiktaş in the 2-1 win over Karabükspor.
The red card was the Black Eagles 10th in the Süper Lig this season and Uysal’s first.
The Black Eagles have had a total of eight different players sent off in all competitions over the last three months.
Gökhan Töre, Olcay Şahan, Ismail Koybaşı, Veli Kavlak, Mustafa Pektemek have all received one red card while Atiba Hutchinson and France have two.
Beşiktaş have been shown 10 red cards in the Süper Lig and one in the UEFA Europa League.
