Hoffenheim v Liverpool – Confirmed lineups – Contract rebel keeps place in starting XI

Liverpool take on Bundesliga side Hoffenheim tonight in a UEFA Champions League qualification clash.

The game takes place tonight at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena, kick-off is scheduled for 19:45 (GMT).

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has decided to stick with Emre Can in midfield alongside captain Jordan Henderson and Wijnaldum.

The same midfield trio started on Saturday for Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Watford FC. Star playmaker Phillipe Coutinho has been dropped from the squad following interest from Barcelona.

Adam Lallana missed tonight’s clash with a thigh injury while Nathaniel Clyne and Daniel Struiddge are also ruled out.

Hoffenheim are without Austrian forward Florian Grillitsch due to a foot injury. Meanwhile former Arsenal forward Serge Gnabry starts for the German outfit tonight.
