Cesena striker Hugo Almeida has been linked with a move to Eskişehirspor according to Eurosport Turkey.

The Portuguese international left Beşiktaş this summer to join the Serie A outfit.

Almeida only has one assist in nine appearances for Cesena this season.

The 30-year-old striker can enter direct talks with other clubs due to his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Almeida moved to Beşiktaş for €3 million from Werder Bremen in July 2014.

The Portuguese international scored 37 goals in 88 apperances for the Black Eagles.

Almeida became a free transfer last summer after Beşiktaş failed to meet his wage demands which were reported to be in the region of €3 million per-season.

The Black Eagles opted to sign Chelsea striker Demba Ba instead.

The Senegalese international has already scored more goals than Almeida did all last season. The 30-year-old scored 15 goals in 33 appearances, Ba already has 16 goals this season.
