Allam revealed that there were a number of factors as to why both players rejected Hull City.

“Yes we tried but it was difficult. We’re not a London club, which can have a big bearing, and we’re in the bottom three,” he added.

Beşiktaş board member Torunoğulları also recently confirmed receiving offers for Ba from English clubs in an interview with Fanatik but underlined that all bids had been rejected.

The 29-year-old has been in prolific form since joining on a £5.2 million move from Chelsea in the summer.

Ba has 19 goals and two assists in 25 appearances for the Black Eagles in all competitions so far this season.

The Senegalese international has a total of 10 goals in the Süper Lig this season.

The Black Eagles are currently second in the Turkish Super League with 41 points in 18 games and face Rizespor on Sunday.
