Hull City transfer news: Tigers table £8.5 million offer for Denmark international & Liverpool target

Hull City have stepped up their efforts to sign Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer.

According to the Turkish outlet Fotomac, the Premier League side have met with Fenerbahce officials. Furthermore Hull are in discussions over a £8.5 million offer for the Denmark international.

Fotomac go onto state that Fenerbahce would consider any offer over £8 million due to their financial situation.

The Istanbul giants are currently being monitored by UEFA Financial Fair Play. Fenerbahce are at risk of being suspended from European competition if they fail to adhere to the FFP rules.

The bookmaker Ladbrokes have placed Hull City in poll position to sign Kjaer this summer with odds of 2.25.

Meanwhile, Liverpool sit closely behind with odds of 2.75. Turkish-Football recently reported that the Reds have also been monitoring Kjaer this season.

Kjaer has one assist and three goals to his name after 37 games for Fenerbahce this season.
