The decision came as a bit of a surprise considering his form but the big Swede will turn 36 in October.

Despite his age, Ibrahimovic showed that he still has what it takes to compete at the highest level.

The experienced striker has had no shortage of suitors since leaving Old Trafford.

Turkish league champions Besiktas have been closely linked with Ibrahimovic in recent months.

The latest reports from Turkey claim the Black Eagles are planning to lure Ibrahimovic with the promise of Champions League football and opportunity to become a club legend in helping them win the league title for the third consecutive season.

The Milliyet newspaper report that Besiktas have entered talks with Ibrahimovic’s agent Mino Raiola.

Per the source, the Black Eagles have made Raiola an offer and are waiting for a response.

The report claims that the striker has been open to the idea of playing in Turkey, especially at the Eagles new Vodafone Arena stadium.

The board are keen on making a marquee signing as part of their plans to increase Besiktas’ commercial reach to markets outside of Turkey.

The Black Eagles have won the league title for the past two seasons and have made inroads in European football, finishing the Europa League as quarter-finalists.

Ibrahimovic is also being closely linked with a move to MLS outfit LA Galaxy according to Spanish publication AS.
