“I’m absolutely gutted” – Crystal Palace fans fume on social media after missing out on £13.5m Champions League goalscorer
Crystal Palace fans were left thinking what might have been following Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun’s goal against Porto in the UEFA Champions League.
The Turkey international unleashed a stunning 30-yard shot which beat Iker Casillas and ended up in the back of the net.
Crystal Palace tabled a bid for the 26-year-old on transfer deadline day but were unable to get the deal over the line.
Turkish-Football recently revealed that Tosun would have been an Eagles player now had they bid for him a week earlier.
Per the source, Besiktas accepted a £13.5 million offer from Palace for the star striker however, there wasn’t enough time to complete the deal.
Following Tosun’s goal against Porto we took to social media to see how Palace fans reacted to the strike.

Tosun has gone onto establish himself as Besiktas’ first-choice striker despite the signing of Alvaro Negredo. If the former Gaziantepspor man continues this form he will be worth allot more than £13.5 million come January.
