Inter enter race for defender Arsenal made £10.5m bid for, Liverpool also in race for defender who has been transfer listed
Inter have entered the race for Fenerbahce star defender Simon Kjaer according to the Takvim newspaper.
Per the source, Inter will rival AC Milan and Arsenal for the Denmark international.
The report claims that Arsenal have made a £10.5 million bid but that Fenerbahce are holding out for between £12.2 – £13 million.
Fenerbahce would be able to operate with more freedom in the transfer market if they manage to sell Kjaer for their desired asking price.
The Yellow Canaries are facing Financial Fair Play (FFP) pressure to stay within budget.
Fellow Istanbul giants Galatasaray were suspended from European competition this season for breaching the FFP regulations.
beIN Turkey report that Fenerbahce have transfer listed Kjaer and will listen to offers.
Inter, AC Milan and Arsenal could face competition from Liverpool.
Turkish-Football recently reported that the Reds are planning a move for the 29-year-old.
The Reds have prioritised strengthening their defence after conceding 42 goals in the league last season – the highest figure in the top four.
Kjaer has 59 caps for the Denmark national team and experience playing Serie A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga as well as Super Lig football.
