Italian giants Inter Milan have joined the race for Beşiktaş midfielder Oğuzhan Özyakup according to the Hürriyet.

Inter were reported to have sent scouts to the Beşiktaş – Bursaspor game played last week to keep tabs on Özyakup and Serdar Aziz.

Roberto Mancini knows Özyakup well from his time managing Istanbul rivals Galatasaray back in 2013.

Inter could however, face competition from Premier League giants Manchester United according to the Milliyet (via Eurosport).

The daily newspaper states that United scouts who were sent to keep tabs on Mario Gomez, turned their attention towards Özyakup following his impressive display against Bursaspor.

Arsenal have also been linked with their former youth academy product. Özyakup is a former Arsenal youth and played a major role in Arsenal’s Under-18s side that won the Premier Academy League title in 2009 and made a few appearances in cup competitions for the Gunners before joining Beşiktaş in 2012 for a fee of €500,000

Beşiktaş beat rivals Bursaspor 1-0 at the Atatürk stadium on the weekend with a last minute goal from Özyakup.

The 22-year-old has a total of six assists and three goals in all competitions this season and has become a regular call up for the Turkish national team.
