Ismail Kartal defends squad selection

Fenerbahce manager Ismail Kartal defended his squad selection against Kayserispor in the Turkish Cup.
Kartal gave youth side players Savaş, Uygar, Caner Koca and Muhammed Akarslan a spot on the starting XI.
“I gave some of our youth players a chance to prove themselves,” Kartal said.
“Kayserispor are challenging to win the PTT 1.Lig this season. For me the result is not important. I will continue to play our young players in the cup.
“Our young players played well, our aim in the cup is to go as far as we can but I will not stop giving our young players a chance.”
Fenerbahce suffered a shock defeat at the Şükrü Saracoğlu in the Turkish cup last night.
The yellow canaries were defeated 2-1 at home in their first Group E clash against Kayserispor.
