Per the source, the Italian giants are prepared to offer €35 million to prize Can away from Liverpool.

The deal is not on according to Jurgen Klopp, the Reds will not sell the 23-year-old this summer.

Klopp has underlined that the Reds are not a selling club and that he wants to keep hold of his best players like Can.

The Liverpool boss also confirmed that talks are ongoing over a new contract deal.

Klopp told the Liverpool Echo: “You can imagine we’re involved in talks and we all feel good and confident in this moment.

“That means they’re not the worst talks but until anything is done or signed there’s nothing to say.

“Emre is a very important player for us. We don’t want to sell or lose players who are in our first line up or close to it.

“Emre is certainly one of them. We want to keep him and we’re having good talks.”

Can has just 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to extend his deal.

The 23-year-old returned to Melwood yesterday after an extended break.
