“Juve can close a deal in January” – Italy legend urges club to sign Liverpool star next month
Juventus club legend Alessandro Del Piero has weighed in on the Emre Can transfer saga.
The Liverpool star has been linked with a move to the Serie A champions after failing to sign a contract extension.
Juventus will be free to hold contract talks with Can in January over a free transfer next summer. However, Juve want to bring Can over on a permanent basis in January in order to avoid a bidding war.

Can admitted his future was far from certain during an interview with the Liverpool Echo last week.
Meanwhile, Juventus legend Del Piero believes the Germany international would be a perfect signing for his former side
“Maybe Juve can close a deal in January,” Del Piero was quoted as saying by the Echo.
“They need someone like him. He has great physical strength, and would be a great fit alongside Sami Khedira and Miralem Pjanic in the centre of the pitch.”
Emre Can has established himself as a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup. The 23-year-old started as part of a three-man defence over the weekend and scored his sides opening goal against Brighton.
Liverpool went onto register a 5-1 victory and moved up into fourth spot in the league.
