Juventus prepare move for Liverpool star midfielder if they fail to land Steven N’Zonzi

Juventus have been closely linked with Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can recently.

Reports in Italy do however, claim that Can is not the Serie A champions priority.

Repubblica report that Juve’s first-choice would be Sevilla midfielder Stephen N’Zonzi.

Per the source, the Italian giants are not prepared to match Sevilla’s asking price.

The Spanish giants reportedly want £35.4 million [€40m] for the former Stoke City player.

Juventus however, will not pay more than £26.6 million [€30m] for the 28-year-old.

The Italian outfit will target Can and Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes as an alternative if they fail to agree a price with the La Liga outfit over N’Zonzi.

Can only has another 12 months remaining on his Liverpool contract but the Reds are keen on an extension.

The midfielder of Turkish origin faces an uncertain future as a result of his contract situation.

The Liverpool Echo report that the Premier League side are confident that Can wants to stay and claim that the club are in talks with his representatives.

The 23-year-old repeatedly wants a contract worth in the region of £100,00 a week which is around double what he currently makes.
