Juventus send club official to watch Liverpool star in Germany

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici travelled to Germany to watch Liverpool star Emre Can in last weeks international friendly against France according to Tuttosport.

Paratici was in Germany watching Can at the Rhein Energie Stadium in Cologne.

The midfielder was one of three players of Turkish origin that started for Germany including Mesut Ozil and Ilkay Gundogan.

Per the source, the Italian giants are still interested in signing Can and are prepared to offer €10 million in January.

Can has under 12 months remaining on his current contract but has yet to sign an extension.

Juventus will be permitted to enter direct talks with Can in January.

The Reds face a difficult decision to either sell Can over the winter transfer window or hold out and try to reach an agreement over a contract extension.

Liverpool could end up losing the 23-year-old on a free transfer next summer unless a contract deal is struck.

Juventus want Can in January but could face competition from Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

City would not however, be able to enter talks in January for Can. Only foreign clubs are permitted to have direct negotiations.
