Karabükspor v Galatasaray Preview & Prediction

Karabükspor take on a Galatasaray side who are coming off the back of a heavy 4-1 Champions League defeat against Dortmund.

Karabükspor

Karabükspor have really suffered on the injury front this season. Ahmet İlhan, Viola, Samba Sow, Emre Özkan, Erkan are all expected to miss the Galatasaray game and Traore will not be available through suspension.

Tolunay Kafkas tends to play a 4-2-3-1 setup but has a stretched squad at the moment and has had to play players out of position to cope with the injury crisis.

Karabükspor have won their last two home games but are still hovering just about the relegation zone in 15th place.

Galatasaray

The Lions have been a bit of a Jekyll & Hyde side this season, awful in the Champions League but second on goal difference in the Süper Lig.

Galatasaray may be doing well domestically but the fans have found conceding four goals per-match on four occasions this season a little too much to stomach.

Cesare Prandelli has still not decided what his strongest starting lineup is, neither has he decided what his strongest formation is. The Lions have played just about every formation in the book and it is almost impossible to predict just what the former Italian national team manager will do next.

What is certain is that Semih Kaya will miss the game with injury, meanwhile Goran Pandev has been left in Istanbul after a string of poor performances.

Prandelli seems to have an allergy towards wingers so it is unlikely that we will see Bruma or Yasin Öztekin although Olcan Adın may get to start alongside striker Burak Yılmaz.

Prediction

Prandelli is under a lot of pressure going into the Karabükspor game, in fact were the Lions to lose here he could find himself out of a job. Galatasaray should be able to take care of business against a Karabükspor missing so many players but it is hard to back the Lions right now. The Lions have been involved in high scoring games of late and their last five games have gone Over 2.5 goals.
