Kasımpaşa vice-president Hasan Hilmi Öksüz has confirmed that the club will be sticking with manager Shota Arveladze despite losing 6-2 against Mersin on the weekend.

Arveladze was rumoured to be on the verge of being sacked following the humiliating defeat but Öksüz confirmed that the Georgian manager would be staying.

“We have no concerns regarding our manager, Shota Arveladze will be in charge of the club for years to come,” Öksüz was quoted as saying by Eurosport TR.

Arveladze would have became the first manager to resign from his position in 2015 if the rumours were true.

Arveladze, Beşiktaş head coach Slaven Bilic and Bursaspor head coach Şenol Güneş are the only managers to have been in a job for seven months or longer in the Süper Lig.

Gaziantepspor boss Okan Buruk, Başakşehir head boach Abdullah Avcı and Fenerbahçe boss İsmail Kartal were all appointed at the start of the season.
