“Keown here telling you everything that Ozil does wrong” – Chris Sutton destroys ex Arsenal star following persistent Ozil criticism
Former England international Chris Sutton has called out Martin Keown for his persistent criticism of Mesut Ozil.
Fans were left wondering what on earth Ozil had done to Keown following his scathing remarks regarding the star playmaker.
Back in October, Keown claimed Ozil had mentally already left the club while on BBC Radio 5 Live.
“I think in some departments he’s already left. Psychologically, mentally, he’s already left the football club,” Keown told BBC Radio 5 Live.
Keown also went onto criticise Ozil continually in his weekly column in the Daily Mail.
However, it appears Chris Sutton has leapt to the defence of the Arsenal star.
The former Celtic man launched a staunch defence of Ozil, reminding Keown that the Germany international has registered more assists than any other player since joining the Gunners.

“You know who’s been good for Arsenal in recent weeks, and you can have Martin Keown here telling you everything that Mesut Ozil does wrong, but I’ll tell you he does a lot of things, a lot of things right,” Sutton stated live on BT Sport.
“He’s got more assists than any other player since he came into the Premier League.
“Arsenal knew what they were buying, I think he’s been singled out a lot for unfair criticism because there are 11 players who go out every week for Arsenal.”
Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Southampton over the weekend. Arsene Wenger side will be looking to return to winning ways when they take on West Ham United this week.
