Klopp wants Simon Kjaer at Liverpool next season

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has set his sights on the Denmark international Simon Kjaer.

Turkish league broadcaster beIn have reported that the German tactician is monitoring Kjear and that he wants to see the 28-year-old at Anfield next season.

BeIN go onto state that Marseille, AC Milan and Paris Saint-German are also interested in the star defender.

Turkish Football previously revealed that the Reds are scouting Kjaer.

Kjaer has signalled his intent to remain at Fenerbahce for the foreseeable future.

“I have no intention of leaving Turkey, Turkish football has taught me a lot,” Kjaer told Fotospor.

“I have improved to have more responsibility, some of the matches I have played are like something I haven’t experienced anywhere in the world.”

However, Fenerbahce stand a real chance of missing out in UEFA Champions League football next season. Kjaer could be tempted away with the lure of European football.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be keen to bolster his defensive options this summer. The Merseyside based club have conceded the highest number of goals in the Premier League’s top six (36).

Klopp’s side defeated their biter rivals Everton over the weekend and take on Bournemouth this week.
