Koita was born in France but is of Guinean origin.
The 24-year-old made his professional debut for Montpellier in a Ligue 2 game against Amiens SC in 2009.
Koita has three goals and one assist in 21 appearances for Caen in all competitions this season.
The former Montpellier forward has a Whoscored rating of 6.93 and averages 2.1 shots on goal per-game.
Konyaspor have scored the fewest goals in the league this season (16) and are in search of additional firepower upfront.
