The Europa League Match Day 6 encounter between Legia Warsaw – Trabzonspor will be played behind closed doors.

UEFA released a statement punishing Legia for racist behaviour, crowd disturbances, incidents of a non-sporting nature and setting off fireworks and other objects in the game against Lokeren played on 27 November in Belgium.

The statement read:

[box type=”shadow” ]”The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has ordered Legia Warszawa to play its next two (2) UEFA competition matches as host club behind closed doors for the racist behaviour of its supporters. – The club has also been banned from selling tickets to its supporters for the next UEFA Europa League competition match (2014/15 season), which the club will play as the visiting team. – The club has been fined €105,000. – Legia Warszawa are ordered to contact KSC Lokeren OV within 30 days for the settlement of the damages caused by its supporters.” [/box]

Legia are currently first in Group L on 12 points but Trabzonspor will overtake them with a win in Poland.
