Leicester City’s out-of-favour midfielder Gokhan Inler is close to a move to Besiktas according to the Sabah newspaper.

The report states that Inler wants out at Leicester after failing to break into the first team after joining from Napoli over the summer.

The Switzerland international may struggle to make the squad ahead of the European Championships next summer should he fail to make to play regular football over the second half of the season.

Besiktas’ rivals Galatasaray have also been keeping close tabs in the experienced midfielder and are preparing a loan bid for the Switzerland international of Turkish origin according to Eurosport.

Inler joined Napoli on a €7 million move over the summer transfer window and still has another three-years left on his current deal.

Leivester take on Tottenham in the Premier League this week as they look to regain top spot.
