Leicester City transfer news: Euro giants join race to sign Foxes star defender

Turkish Super League champions Besiktas have joined the race to sign in-demand Leicester City centre-back Yohan Benalouane.

The Black Eagles are on the lookout for a new centre-back to partner Pepe after they sold Marcelo to Lyon last month.

According to the French outlet L’Equipe, both Besiktas and Trabzonspor have set their sights on the Tunisia international defender.

Per the source, Benalouane is expected to leave Leicester City this summer following recent arrivals.

Turkish-Football recently reported Osmanlispor’s interested in the 30-year-old defender.

Benalouane made just 11 Premier League appearances for Leicester City last term. The former Atalanta man has under 24 months remaining on his current deal with the Foxes.

Leicester City suffered a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Arsenal in their opening game of the season against Arsenal. However, the Foxes bounced back on Saturday with a 2-0 victory over newly promoted Brighton FC.
