Leicester City are close to completing the transfer of Gokhan Inler from Napoli according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report states that The Foxes have agreed a €4.5 million transfer fee with Napoli and are close to agreeing personal terms with the experienced midfielder. Leicester have offered Inler a three-year deal at €2 million per season.
Leicester’s newly appointed manager Claudio Ranieri revealed earlier this week that he was close to securing a replacement for Esteban Cambiasso.
The Argentinian international recently confirmed that he will leave Leicester according to the BBC. The former Inter Milan player released a statement saying that he will not renew his current deal with the Foxes.
Inler scored one goal in 33 appearances for Napoli in all competitions last season.
Leicester pulled off the ‘great-escape’ last season to beat the drop. The foxes ended the season in 14th place with 41 points.
