Leicester vs Liverpool: Predicted line-ups – Klopp sweats over key defenders injury status, Emre Can set to return

Liverpool take on Leicester City at the King Power stadium hoping to get their Premier League campaign back on track.

The Reds were held to a 1-1 draw against Burnley at home last week and then went onto crash out of the Carabao Cup following a midweek defeat against Leicester City.

The Foxes have won their last three home games against the Reds.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that he will be making changes to the team which lost to Leicester City a few days ago.

“I think both teams will not think too much about this [Carabao Cup] game because there will be different line-ups for sure, on both sides obviously,” Klopp said in his pre-match press conference.

“Leicester has a typical style of play: Jamie Vardy is a pretty key player for this kind of play and also (Riyad) Mahrez and both were not involved.

“They go for set-pieces: [Christian] Fuchs will be back probably so that means throw-ins are back in the game and all that stuff.”

The Foxes will have Leonardo Ulloa available after recovering from a head injury against Liverpool midweek.

Defender Christian Fuchs is fit again after his recent eye problem.

Liverpool meanwhile will be without defender Dejan Lovren who has not trained this week due to a back injury.

Fellow centre-back Joel Matip is also a doubt.

Emre Can meanwhile has returned to training after missing the Reds League Cup game.

Liverpool will be missing Sadio Mane who is suspended.
