Emre Can played the full 90 minutes during Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of their rivals Manchester United in the Premier League.

Liverpool created the majority of the chances during the game but were unable to get past United’s in-form goalkeeper David De Gea.

Rooney found the back of the net late in the second half against the run of play to earn his side all three points.

Can played in midfield once again alongside Lucas Leiva and Jordan Henderson. The Germany international has been a constant feature in the Red’s starting line-up since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool dropped down to ninth place following todays defeat while united moved up into fifth place, two points behind Tottenham.
