Switzerland international of Turkish origin Gökhan İnler did not start again for Leicester further adding fuel to transfer rumours linking him with a move away from the Premier League leaders over the winter transfer window.
Leicester remain in first place following the defeat but Arsenal could end Boxing Day as leaders with a win against Southampton.
Liverpool meanwhile moved into 8th place snapping a three game winless run.
