Liverpool’s star midfielder Emre Can has stated that he believes the Red’s can defeat Sevilla and qualify to the UEFA Champions League.

The 22-year-old said that if Liverpool play at the same level as they did against Villarreal, they have a good chance of winning.

“Sevilla have won the last two finals but if we play to the level that we can then we will win the game,” Can told the Liverpool Echo.

“There’s a big reward. We want to win the trophy and we want to play in the Champions League next season.”

Can was a surprise inclusion in Klopp’s starting line-up following an injury he sustained during the Red’s win over Dortmund.

The combative midfielder sustained an ankle injury during Liverpool’s 4-3 win over Dortmund and was initially ruled out for the rest of the season.

Can has three assists and two goals in 47 appearances for Liverpool this season.
