Liverpool contract rebel ‘happy to be back’ despite reports that he is considering summer exit

Liverpool star Emre Can linked up with his teammates today for pre-season training.

Can was the last member of the squad to unite with his teammates after an extended break this summer.

The midfielder of Turkish origin was given a longer holiday than the other members of the squad following his Confederations Cup duties.

Can returned from Bodrum, Turkey and reported for training today.

The 23-year-old shared an Instagram photo wearing Liverpool training gear alongside the following caption: ‘Happy to be back on the pitch!’.

The latest statement could be interpreted as an encouraging development as far as Can’s future at the club is concerned.

Can has been closely linked with a move to Italian giants Juventus.

The Turkish outlet Sozcu has revealed that the Serie A outfit are prepared to offer as high as €45 million for the midfielder.

The Reds ace currently has 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to sign a new deal.

Liverpool do not want to lose Can this summer and are in talks over an extension.
