Liverpool fan craft second Emre Can chant tribute video

Emre Can has become quite a popular figure in Liverpool since joining the Reds from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.

The 21-year-old’s combative style, willingness to play in any position and impossible to pronounce surname has won over the Liverpool faithful in a short space of time.

The midfielder-come-defender asked the fans to put together a song for him in February.

The midfielder-come-defender listened to Reds fans chants during an interview and admitted he was honoured.

“Things like that make me feel incredibly proud. It’s difficult to put into words how it feels to have the fans behind you,” Can told the official Liverpool website.

The chant being shown in the video was the following masterpiece sung before the Reds FA Cup semi-final against Aston Villa.

The latest instalment in the Emre Can chant archive written and performed by Bryan Newruck is a little more unusual.

The line, ‘It’s Emre Emre! Like Only German Engineering Can’ was quite impressive but I am not sure that it will replace the original just yet.
