Emre Can made his 38th performance for Liverpool today as the Red’s took on Chelsea in the Premier League.
Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge ending their Champions League dreams. Brendan Rodgers side will not be able to compete among Europe’s elite next season.
Emre Can started at right-back again and put on a good defensive performance despite a shaky start.
The 21-year-old completed the games highest number of tackles (7) and interceptions (4).
Can received a rating of 7.59 for his performance at right-back. The 21-year-old made 8 tackles, 2 interceptions and 2 clearances.
Following the final whistle we took to Twitter to see how Can’s latest performance went down on social media. Read a selection of what we found below:
I love Emre Can so much. But why in Gods name is he playing RB?

Don't understand why we put Johnson and Emre Can out of position, when we can have both in position if we play Moreno.

Really looking forward to seeing Emre Can in his natural midfield role next season, mostly deputised okay in defence but very wasted there.

I really do like Emre Can, sign a RCB in the transfer window and let the lad have a wonder into the Stevie role.

Can joined Liverpool as a central midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen on a £9.75 million move in the summer but has played most of the season as a defender in Reds boss Brendan Rodgers back-three.
