Samed Yesil started his first game against Everton on Thursday evening and has played in Liverpool U21’s last three games.
The Red’s recorded a 3-1 victory over their rivals at Goodison Park on the night and now sit in second place in the league, two points behind leaders Manchester Untied U21.
The former Leverkusen striker only recently recovered from a double cruciate ligament injury that has seen him spend most of the season on the sidelines. Yeşil now has four goals in eight U21 appearances for the Reds this season.
