Liverpool fullback Glen Johnson could miss the Europa League Round of 32 tie against Beşiktaş after picking up a groin injury.

Johnson is expected to be out for at least a month after tearing his groin muscle during the Reds 3-0 defeat against Manchester United last weekend.

The 30-year-old right-back will have a scan to determine the full extent of the damage.

Javier Manquillo or Jon Flanagan would be likely to play if Johnson does not recover in time.

The first leg between Beşiktaş and Liverpool will take place on 19 February 2015 at Anfield and the return match will be played on 26 February in Istanbul.

The Black Eagles beat Tottenham 1-0 in Istanbul to top Group C with 14 points.

Beşiktaş are currently leaders in the Süper Lig with 29 points from 13 games.

Liverpool are currently 11th in the Premier League on 21 points from 16 games.
