Liverpool forward will arrive in Istanbul today ahead of Fenerbahce transfer

Liverpool forward Lazar Markovic will arrive in Istanbul today ahead of signing a loan-deal with Fenerbahçe until the end of the seasons a source close to the club told Turkish-football.com.

Markovic will arrive in Istanbul at approximately 17:20 local time before undergoing a medical and completing his move.

The Liverpool youngster will become the third Premier League player to move to Turkey on loan this summer. Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo joined Kasımpaşa on a temporary move and Marko Marin was snapped up by Trabzonspor.

Markovic will also join former Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles at Fenerbahçe as well as Robin van Persie and Luis Nani who joined the Yellow Canaries from Manchester United last month.

The Serbian international has become the Istanbul giants 11th signing this season and third loan move overall following the arrivals of Ba and Fabiano from Porto.

The Yellow Canaries will compete in the Europa League this season and have been drawn in Group A alongside Celtic, Ajax and Molde.
