Liverpool have one of the largest and most famous supporter bases in world football.
The Reds’ chief commercial officer Billy Hogan recently revealed that Liverpool have an estimated 580 million fans.
“Our research tells us we’ve got 580 million fans globally,” Hogan told the ECHO.
Melo joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal from Juventus worth £3 million last summer after playing the previous two seasons on loan at the Lions.
The 31-year-old has a total of 17 goals and and 11 assists in 147 appearances in all competitions for Galatasaray since arriving from Juventus.
Liverpool are currently in 7th place on 42 points after 25 games and face a key game against Tottenham on Tuesday.
The Reds will move one point within 5th place Spurs with a win against the North London based club.
