Mignolet made a number of key saves to prevent Beşiktaş getting an important away goal.

“It’s always nice to keep a clean sheet and always important when you play the first leg at home,” Mignolet told the official Liverpool website.

Mignolet has kept a total of 11 clean sheets in all competitions for Liverpool this season.

The Belgium keeper has conceded a total of 40 goals in 38 games for the Reds this season.

The 26-year-old does not however, believe that the job is done just yet and underlined that Liverpool still have a tough job in Istanbul for the return-leg.

“We’re pleased with that. But nothing is done yet – we have to make sure that we finish the job over there,” he added.

The return leg will be played on Thursday February 26 at the Atatürk Olympic stadium.
