Liverpool legend John Aldridge has taken to Twitter to heap praise on Emre Can who came on as a substitute during Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Stoke City.

The Red’s exacted revenge following their 6-1 mulling in the final game of last season against the Potters.

Can was left out of Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers starting lineup but came on to replace Adam Lallana in the second half.
