Liverpool linked £24m Arda Turan looking for Barcelona exit following friendly snub

Turkey international Arda Turan is looking for a way out of Barcelona.

The Spanish outlet Sport claim that the 30-year-old is surplus to requirements at the Catalan giants. Per the source, manager  Ernesto Valverde has sent Turan a clear message by not playing him against Chapecoense.

Sport go onto state that Turan is likely to return to Turkey or move for big money to China.

Turan could end up at Liverpool as part of a swap deal for Philippe Coutinho according to another report from Sport.

The former Galatasaray star previously revealed that he is a Liverpool fan.

“I want to play in major leagues and my dream team is Liverpool,” the Turkey international revealed before leaving Galatasaray for Atletico in 2011.

The Turkey international has struggled at the Camp Nou since arriving from Atletico Madrid for £24 million (BBC) two years ago. However, following the departure of Neymar, Barcelona will have to buy before letting the versatile midfielder leave.

Meanwhile, Marca have reported that Turan is keen on a move to Atletico Madrid.

The 30-year-old does have another three-years remaining on his contract. Turan scored 13 times and provided seven assists in all competitions last season.
