Liverpool Loanee Karius Expected To Keep Place In Besiktas Team Despite Conceding Calamitous Goal In Europa League

Liverpool loanee Loris Karius is set to keep his place in the Besiktas starting lineup against Konyaspor at the Konya Buyuksehir on Sunday.

There were question marks over whether Karius would keep his place in the side after conceding a calamitous goal in the Europa League on Thursday.

The replays showed that the Malmo opener was actually an own goal taking a wicked deflection off full-back Caner Erkin but the damage had already been done.

Karius was heavily criticized and subject to trolling on social media channels.

Besiktas boss Senol Gunes is however, set to keep him on as his first-choice keeper.

The Black Eagles will be hoping to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat against the Swedish outfit.

The Istanbul giants will be without Adriano who is injured but have no other injury concerns heading into the game.
